Help & Support: Becoming the Hands of Christ Together

Here at Blessed Sacrament and St. Vincent de Paul, we are called to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community, extending His love and compassion to our neighbors in need. Our outreach ministries are more than just services; they are powerful encounters where faith is put into action, and lives are transformed—both for those who receive and for those who give.

We invite you to be a part of this life-giving work.

The Food Pantry: "I Was Hungry and You Gave Me Food"

Living Our Vincentian Mission

Our patron, St. Vincent de Paul, dedicated his life to serving Christ in the poor. Following his example and the command of Jesus in the Gospel—"I was hungry and you gave me food"—our parish is committed to fighting hunger in our community.

Refugee Ministry

Refugee Ministry: Welcoming Christ in the Stranger

The Holy Family were once refugees, seeking safety in a foreign land. Today, we are called to see the face of Christ in the families who arrive in our community seeking refuge and a new beginning. At St. Vincent de Paul, our Refugee Ministry is our faith in action—a direct response to the Gospel's call to "welcome the stranger" and a core expression of our Vincentian identity.

Ministry to the Homebound

Ministry to the Homebound: In the Footsteps of St. Vincent

Our patron, St. Vincent de Paul, taught us that we find Christ in the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable. Our Ministry to the Homebound is the heart of this mission, a sacred promise that no member of our parish family will ever feel isolated or forgotten due to illness, age, or infirmity. We are the bridge connecting our homebound parishioners to the heart of our community: the celebration of the Eucharist.

Pastoral Care: A Ministry of Presence and Communion

Here at Blessed Sacrament, we believe that no member of our parish family should ever feel isolated or forgotten due to illness, age, or infirmity. Two Parishes, One Family

Though we cherish the unique histories and traditions of both St. Vincent de Paul and Blessed Sacrament, we are one family in Christ. This partnership allows us to pool our resources, share our talents, and create a more dynamic and faith-filled experience for all. By working together, we offer a richer spiritual life, more diverse ministries, and a stronger outreach to the wider Syracuse community. Our collaboration is a beautiful testament to Catholic unity, demonstrating how shared faith can build bridges and foster a deeper sense of belonging.
