The HOPE Appeal: Extending Our Charity Together
While our hearts are rooted here at St. Vincent de Paul, our faith connects us to a larger family: the Catholic Church across Central New York. The annual HOPE Appeal is the primary way we come together, parish by parish, to ensure the vital work of our Diocesan Church continues. It's a powerful opportunity to live out our Vincentian calling to serve those in need, both within and beyond our own parish boundaries.
Where Does My Gift Go?
Your gift to the HOPE Appeal is an act of solidarity that fuels essential ministries that no single parish could support alone. It is a lifeline that directly supports:
- Forming Our Future Priests: Supporting the education and formation of the seminarians who will one day serve at our altars and lead our parishes.
- Caring for the Vulnerable: Fueling the incredible work of Catholic Charities, the largest local provider of hope, assistance, and social services in our region.
- Catholic Education & Faith Formation: Providing crucial resources for our Catholic schools and parish religious education programs, nurturing the faith of our children.
- Ministering to the Sick and Elderly: Ensuring Catholic chaplains are present in hospitals and nursing homes, bringing the comfort of Christ and the sacraments to those in need.
Our Parish's Role & How to Participate
Each year, our parish is given a goal for the appeal. Every gift made by a parishioner is a testament to our collective spirit of charity and counts toward reaching that goal.
We invite every member of our parish family to prayerfully consider making a gift to this year's HOPE Appeal. You will receive pledge information in the mail, and you can make your contribution through the envelopes provided at Mass or by giving online through the Diocesan website.
