Youth & Family: Growing in Faith Together
Welcome! Here at Blessed Sacrament, we believe that faith is a lifelong journey best traveled together. We are honored to partner with you—the parents, grandparents, and guardians—who are the first and most important teachers of your children in the ways of faith.
Our mission is to create a joyful and supportive community where our children and youth can build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. From their first hearing of the Gospel to the celebration of the sacraments, we are here to support your family every step of the way.
Your Family's Sunday Morning at Blessed Sacrament
We have designed our Sunday morning experience to be convenient and spiritually enriching for your entire family.
For Our Youngest Children (Ages 4-7)
Children's Liturgy of the Word (During the 9:15 a.m. Mass) We invite our little ones to join us for a special celebration of the Sunday readings, presented in a way they can understand and love. Children are called forth from the congregation before the First Reading and return during the Offertory, filled with the Good News they have just heard.
For Children & Youth (Pre-K to 10th Grade)
Faith Formation Classes (10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) Immediately following the 9:15 a.m. Mass, our faith formation classes begin! This program provides a foundation in our Catholic faith, focusing on love of God, discipleship, spiritual growth, and living the Gospel in a fun, age-appropriate environment.
The Journey of the Sacraments
The sacraments are the heart of our Catholic life, powerful moments where we encounter the living Christ. We are honored to walk with your family as you prepare for these grace-filled milestones.
- Baptism: Welcome to God's Family The beautiful first step on a lifelong journey of faith.
- First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion Our two-year journey, typically celebrated in the second grade, prepares children to experience God's mercy and receive Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time.
- Confirmation: Sealed with the Spirit Our two-year program for students in grades 8 through 10 empowers them to be sealed with the Holy Spirit and take ownership of their faith as young adults.

An Invitation to Serve: Join Our Ministry!
Our programs are powered by the faith and generosity of volunteers. Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talent with the next generation. It is a joyful and rewarding way to live your own discipleship! Opportunities include:
- Main Catechist (Instructor): Leads the weekly lesson.
- Classroom Aide (Adult 18+): Assists the catechist.
- Teen Helper: A wonderful service opportunity for our high school students.
- Children's Liturgy of the Word Leader: Guides our youngest children through the Sunday readings.
To ensure the safety of our children, all volunteers must complete the diocesan Safe Environment training. We will happily guide you through this simple process.
