Welcome! Are You Asking Life’s Big Questions?
- Is there something more to life?
- Do I have a deeper purpose?
- Where can I find a sense of peace and community?
If you've found yourself pondering these questions, you are not alone. Many of us feel a gentle pull toward something more, a desire to connect with God and understand our place in the world. Perhaps you've been curious about the Catholic faith for a while, or maybe a recent life event has sparked a new desire for a spiritual home.
Whatever has led you here, we are so glad you came. The community at Blessed Sacrament Church welcomes you to explore the beauty, truth, and richness of the Catholic Church.
Your Journey of Faith: A Simple Path to Becoming Catholic
Becoming Catholic is not like signing up for a club; it’s a spiritual journey of discovery. We walk with you every step of the way through a process called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). Think of it not as a class, but as a warm and welcoming space to explore your questions and deepen your relationship with God alongside others who are on a similar path.
The journey is tailored to you and has a few simple stages:
- The Inquiry Period: Just Looking. This is a time of no pressure and no commitment. It’s your chance to ask questions, share your story, and learn the basics of what Catholics believe in a friendly, informal setting.
- Learning and Growing: If you decide to continue, you’ll join a group of fellow seekers to learn more about the Catholic faith—our beliefs, the beauty of the Mass, the power of the Sacraments, and the richness of prayer. It’s a time for your faith to come alive.
- Getting Ready: As the holy season of Lent approaches, we enter a final period of prayer and reflection to prepare our hearts for the incredible gift of the Sacraments.
- Welcome Home: At the Easter Vigil, the most beautiful Mass of the year, you will be fully welcomed into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Baptism (if you are not already baptized), Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist.
