Ministry to the Homebound: In the Footsteps of St. Vincent
Our patron, St. Vincent de Paul, taught us that we find Christ in the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable. Our Ministry to the Homebound is the heart of this mission, a sacred promise that no member of our parish family will ever feel isolated or forgotten due to illness, age, or infirmity. We are the bridge connecting our homebound parishioners to the heart of our community: the celebration of the Eucharist.
A Ministry of Presence and Communion
Following the example of St. Vincent, our trained and compassionate ministers are privileged to bring the comfort of Christ to those who cannot be with us at Mass.
They bring the greatest gift of all—the Holy Eucharist—but also the simple, profound gifts of a warm smile, a listening ear, and news from the parish. Each visit is a tangible reminder that our homebound brothers and sisters are a cherished and vital part of our community.
Two Ways You Can Participate
1. An Invitation to Serve
Do you have a compassionate heart and a desire to walk in the footsteps of St. Vincent de Paul? We are always in need of new ministers to join this beautiful and deeply rewarding service. This is more than a visit; it is an encounter with Christ. The ministry requires only a small amount of your time to be a prayerful presence for a fellow parishioner. Full training and support are provided.

2. Requesting a Visit
If you or a loved one are temporarily or permanently homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist at home, please do not hesitate to contact us. It would be our privilege to serve you. Please call the parish office to be added to our visitation list.
A Prayer for Our Homebound Parishioners
We invite every member of our parish to join us in this ministry through daily prayer:
“Father, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness, or disease realize that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.”
