Christmas Poinsettia Ministry: Delivering Joy to the Homebound
A Simple Gift, A Powerful Message
During the holy seasons of Advent and Christmas, when our parish is filled with light and song, our Poinsettia Ministry ensures that this joy reaches every member of our parish family, especially those who are homebound.
A simple visit, a beautiful poinsettia, and a thoughtful Christmas card deliver a powerful message: "You are remembered, you are cherished, and you are a vital part of our parish community during this sacred season and always." This ministry is a tangible sign of our parish's love and a reminder that no one journeys alone.
How It Works
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, our volunteers become messengers of hope. They gather to organize beautiful poinsettias and write Christmas cards, and then set out to personally deliver these gifts to the homes of our parishioners who are sick or unable to join us for Mass. The visit itself, even if brief, is often the most precious gift of all, breaking through the loneliness that this time of year can sometimes bring.
An Invitation to Be a Christmas Messenger
We invite you to share in the true spirit of Christmas by joining this heartwarming ministry. This is a perfect short-term volunteer opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to serve together. You can help by organizing the plants and cards or by being one of our cheerful delivery volunteers.
The time commitment is small, but the joy you bring—and receive—is immeasurable.
