An Ministry of Love
The beauty and dignity of the Holy Mass at Blessed Sacrament are enhanced by the reverent care given to the sacred items used in the liturgy. This ministry is a quiet, prayerful, and essential service to our parish community, performed as a true act of love for the Eucharist.
Volunteers in this ministry are entrusted with the care of the sacred linens used upon the altar, including the corporals, which hold the Body of Christ, and the purificators, used to cleanse the sacred vessels. Because these linens touch the consecrated Body and Blood of Our Lord, they are handled and laundered with special reverence according to Church tradition.
In addition to the altar linens, this ministry also assists with the care of the vestments worn by our priests, deacons, and altar servers, ensuring that all articles used in our liturgical celebrations are clean and dignified.
